Modern Chair Design

The Achair chair  is a perfect example of an eco-design product that is not only sustainable but has a fancy and outstanding design. David Colwell, a furniture designer residing in UK, has been recently awarded for its “Achair” at this years Wood Awards. the Achair is hand-made by the designer himself using an old technique using vapor to bend the chair into its curvy shapes. The chair is an awesome piece for those who enjoy furniture with several purposes. It looks very modern but is very comfortably in the same time. This chair based on the pursuit of lightness and simplicity applied to the balance and  elastic. this chair called NEST Chair designed by Swedish designer Markus Johansson. A playful and imaginative process has been the starting point to find a functional whole. made use of both old and new technologies as the wide pins are bent and then drilled in a CNC machine to achieve exact fit. Each of the thicker round pegs are identical and are cut at different lengths to make it easy to produce. NEST chair  is made of flat round pieces and composed entirely of free forms without any “correct” angles, and of course, environmentally friendly, it is made entirely of wood. Called apple stool, looks quite unique and seems to be very comfortable. It can fit as to ultra-modern minimalist interiors as to funky or modern ones. this chair has very simple design yet it is very flexible. ‘apple’ is a wooden lockable stool concept by danish designer Hans Sandgren Jakobsen. the seating unit subtly draws its form from the natural shape of an egg and an apple and is made up from pieces of wood that have been identically cut and steam bent into the shape of individual ‘pieces of cake’ which are then glued together. the stool is then put onto a lathe and turned to fabricate the final shape.
